The Most Important Factors in Choosing Accommodation

June 7, 2011 at 2:53 pm 2 comments

Results from a recent poll we carried out on’s Facebook page showed that comfort is the most important consideration for bookers when choosing accommodation, closely followed by location. Third was value for money, then atmosphere, with food coming bottom.

Do you agree with this order? What factors are most important for you when finding a place to stay?

Value for money should take into account all qualities – cleanliness, comfort, location and food quality etc…

Location can be the most important – there have been nightmare stories of people reserving Dublin accommodations that look good on the internet and they turn out to be in a dangerous area or directly over a night club!!!

Thanks, Brian. That’s why our site uses Google Street View where possible – so bookers can really get a sense of the area they’re staying in.

People’s criteria for choosing a property will depend on what kind of trip they’re looking for, of course.
