Norah’s Ark: A B&B for Pets

ptnorahsarkA guest house owner from Cumbria has extended her welcome to the furrier family members by opening the area’s first bed and breakfast for pets.

Most breeds of small animals will be welcome at Norah’s Ark, which will offer a full board service including all meals, a bed in a private enclosure and even a personal fridge. The B&B is set in a fully-equipped insulated shed and boasts four vivariums for visiting reptiles.

Norah, 58, has years of experience sharing her home with her human guests, as well as an extensive menagerie including Fudge the rabbit, Draco the bearded dragon and even a couple of owls.

“People can leave their pets if they are going on holiday or for emergencies like going into hospital for example, or even just for a bit of respite.

“We promise to keep animals apart at night, especially rabbits; we don’t want any holiday romances leading to any surprises!

“We don’t have cameras installed yet, so people can’t check on their pets from home, but I suppose I could bring them to the phone if people are really concerned about their welfare!”
