Christmas Breakfast

A traditional panettone, Christmas breakfast in Italy.

In Belgium, the traditional Christmas breakfast is cougnou, a sweet raisin bread shaped in the form of the baby Jesus and enjoyed with hot chocolate. Italians on Christmas morning follow a slice of panettone (and the obligatory coffee!) with frittata, bread and ricotta.

What’s your traditional Christmas breakfast? Do you sip on champagne and snack on chocolate coins, or do you manage to fit in a full fry up before Christmas dinner? Are you too busy opening presents to have breakfast at all? Leave us a comment and let us know…
