Bath a Favourite with Americans

TravelMole have published the results of a survey identifying which UK cities are visited by which foreign nationalities. Here’s what they found out:

  • Bath is visited by more Americans than any other nationality
  • The French have a penchant for Bristol and Plymouth
  • The French and the Irish are equally enamoured with Cardiff and Swansea
  • Cambridge is top for the French and the Americans
  • Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool attract more visitors from Ireland than from anywhere else
  • Stratford-Upon-Avon is a favourite with Americans
  • Tourists from the US are also the top visitors to York, with Australians a close second.
