What do your B&B guests take away as a souvenir of their stay?

We asked B&B owners on Twitter what their guests take home with them as a souvenir, and here’s what they said:

@ChezLaChouette Often send people home with some of our chuck’s eggs, veg from the garden or a pot of jam

@firelightinn A hand made and hand written welcome note for everyone upon arrival for guests of The Firelight Inn Duluth MN B

@campfirechris Souvenirs to guests – good memories hopefully, a follow up thank you, discount for next time. Any more ideas?

@InnatPdR – They usually take home some of our delicious chocolate chip cookies!

@FrancaPorterSoap, showercaps, coffee, tea – luckily majority is well-behaved

@agaqueen It all depends – maybe just some Lower Buckton post cards or some of my Gold Award marmalade or some vegetables from garden or some personalised recipes or some Lower Buckton cake or some Lower Buckton rare-breed pork or, or the list is endless!

@fiberwoman15 We have chocolates for the guests, if that counts as a souvenir 🙂

@peterpastry A receipt. LOL. Well it is autographed. ;o)

What gifts do you give guests as a souvenirof your bed and breakfast? And what’s the best souvenir you’ve ever received from a B&B? We’d love to hear from you, so leave us a comment below, or let us know on Twitter or Facebook.

LesTroisChenes @BBreakfastWorld Intend to get postcards made of our B&B and area to give as souvenirs – must get on with that! We do have pots of our own honey in pretty jars and greetings cards of my paintings for sale. Hoping to offer local pottery & crafts 4 sale this yr. Few nice things to take home as gifts.

Why not give guests a recipe of some local (or homemade) special dish? You could print them on the back of a postcard of the B&B. Step it up and attach the recipe to one of the ingredients, like a jar of honey, as one tweeter suggested.

We have a gallery at the inn and guests often purchase some of my husband’s colored pencil artwork. His drawings are sometimes of local scenes of Lancaster County or of whimsical wildlife, both memorable!
